We knew this is different from what our president keeps receiving from people, and that is one of the things that worry us. GOWON PRAISES IBB FOR RESTORING HIS RANK AND HONOR, CONTRIBUTING TO NIGERIA. (PHOTO).

Former Head of State Yakubu Gowon expressed gratitude to ex-military president Ibrahim Babangida for his support and contributions to Nigeria’s growth during a book launch event in Abuja on Thursday. 


Gowon highlighted the challenges he faced while in office, including being accused of treason, and noted that while President Shagari later lifted that accusation, it was Babangida who ultimately reinstated his military rank and restored his dignity. 


He also acknowledged Babangida’s significant efforts for the nation and emphasized their long-standing friendship that spans several years.
