 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. "This life is really unpredictable, almost a decade ago, I and Wizkid used to be really close friends like besties, we were always spotted together everywhere. Popular blogs like Linda Ikeji would gossip about us that we were dating and i will just come out to deny it.


Wizzy was very young then, in his early 20's so i had that feeling of resentment of the backlash i would receive from the media. You know talks like Wizzy impregnating his big sister and all that cos i am way older than him.


I wondered how people would see me, how my friends would rate me and how my family would take it because once in a while Wizzy would jokingly tell me "See I no mind if we run am".


If i had knew he would grow this big to become the king of Afrobeats, i would have accepted o because right now he doesnt even remember we once had a thing in the past.
