Catholic Priests Not Like ‘Fake Bishops’, Atiku Blasts Presidency’s Attack On Onaiyekan Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress ADC, Atiku Abubakar, has condemned the Presidency’s attack on the Catholic Church and John Cardinal Onaiyekan, accusing the President Bola Tinubu administration of growing intolerant of dissent and uncomfortable truths. In a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu on Sunday, Atiku said the Presidency chose intimidation and political attacks instead of reflecting on the substance of the cleric’s message. Catholic bishops had recently had an engagement with the president, where the latter defended his record and the independence of the electoral umpire. However, the cardinal in a television interview on Friday said the Catholic bishops told the president that the country is bleeding and the economy is not helping poor citizens. ILLINOIS-AN URBANA HOME INVASION LEAVES A 7-YEAR-OLD CHILD AND A 43-YEAR-OLD MAN DECEASED. (PHOTO).

 Illinois- An Urbana home invasion leaves a 7-year-old child and a 43-year-old man deceased.


Police in Urbana responded to the report of a shooting on the 900 block of Lanore Drive. Once on the scene, police discovered a 7-year-old suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. The child was immediately transported to a local hospital where he unfortunately passed away.


While investigating the crime scene, police soon discovered another victim. A 43-year-old man was found suffering from gunshot wounds near the home. He was also transported to a local hospital where he also unfortunately passed away.


Police believe the deaths are a result of a home invasion. They have not announced if there are any suspects at this time.


Officials are asking anyone with any information regarding the home invasion and subsequent deaths to please call the Urbana Police Department at 1-217-384-2320.
