In a speedy way, Govt has stood up to the challenges of security in the state--- Deputy Governor Ibezim

The Anambra State Government will stop at nothing to get rid of criminalities in the state, as the era of wealth without work and crown without cross are gone.


These were part of his speech at the valedictory session for the member that represented Onitsha North Constituency 1, Late Hon. Justice Azuka at the State House of Assembly Awka.


Late Hon. Azuka was kidnapped and murdered recently by hoodlums.


Speaking on behalf of Governor Soludo, the State Deputy Governor, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim commended members of the Anambra State House of Assembly for speedy passage of the 'Homeland Security Law', and the security agencies in the state for wagging into action in apprehending the killers of Late Hon. Azuka.


He further urged the public to always avail information of any criminal activities going on in their community to relevant authorities, stressing that security of the state is the business of the government as well as everyone.


Dr. Ibezim while consoling the family of the deceased, assured them of the state government support and intervention to his immediate family.


Earlier, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, described Late Hon. Azuka as a dedicated and distinguished legislator. He commended security operatives for fishing out  killers and promised that the Assembly will not fail to extend support to the family the deceased lawmaker.
