 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. INDIANA: A KNOX COUNTY MAN HAS BEEN ARRESTED FOD STEALING A 345 IB CHURCH BELL AND THEN SELLING IT FOR SCRAP. (PHOTOS).

 Indiana- A Knox County man has been arrested for stealing a 345 lb. church bell and then selling it for scrap. 


Knox County deputies were notified of a vandalism incident at the Royal Oak Presbyterian Church in early February. While investigating, it was discovered the church's brass bell had been stolen.


Investigators quickly got to work attempting to locate the culprit and (hopefully) return the bell. Unfortunately, during the course of the investigation, it was discovered "the bell had been cut up and sold to a recycling center for $724.00."


Deputies were able to use this information to identify the suspect, 42-year-old Travis Heath. He was arrested on Tuesday, February 25th.

Travis Heath was booked into Knox County Jail and is being charged with criminal mischief and theft.


It is certainly sad to see a relic destroyed for scrap metal.
