Hillary Clinton's White House UFC jab backfires after critics point out what her husband did in 'our house' Hillary Clinton’s criticism of Donald Trump’s decision to host a UFC event at the White House sparked immediate backlash from conservatives. Clinton, who lost to Trump in the 2016 election, posted that the White House is “not his house” but “our house,” while promoting merchandise to support candidates she said would respect the institution.  Her remarks, however, were met with accusations of hypocrisy, with critics pointing to controversies from her and Bill Clinton’s time in office. Representative Tim Burchett and retired Lt. Col. Buzz Patterson were among those who responded sharply, referencing Bill Clinton’s scandal with Monica Lewinsky and alleged misconduct during his presidency.  Patterson, who said he carried the nuclear football for Clinton, accused Hillary of lecturing about respect while her husband engaged in inappropriate behavior and mishandled sensi...

Irv Gotti, Co-Founder of Murder Inc. Records, Dies at 54

Irv Gotti — who co-founded the hitmaking Murder Inc. Records label and helped make early 2000s superstars out of Ja Rule and Ashanti — has died after suffering a stroke, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed. He was 54 years old.

Multiple sources close to his family told TMZthat Gotti died on Wednesday in New York City. Though, the cause of death is currently unclear. In recent years, Gotti had been dealing with a number of health problems, suffering a stroke last year due to complications from his diabetes.

"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Irving 'Irv Gotti' Lorenzo, on February 5, 2025. Surrounded by family and friends, he departed this world, leaving behind a legacy that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him and the countless lives he touched," his family said in a statement.

They called him an "incredible man, a true visionary who transformed the hip-hop industry and changed the game for artists and fans alike."

Murder Inc. produced superstars Ashanti and Ja Rule, the label's first artist. Ja Rule landed his first top 40 Billboard Hot 100 with "Holla Holla" from his 1999 debut album "Venni Vetti Vecci," Billboard.com reported. The label's success skyrocketed, and between 1999 and 2005 Ja Rule had 17 total Hot 100 hits.

In 2002, Ashanti's hit "Foolish" exploded, spending 10 weeks at the top of the Hot 100 chart, according to Billboard. Ja Rule’s "Always on Time" and Fat Joe's "What's Luv?" — both of which featured Ashanti — also became chart toppers.

Gotti produced nearly 30 Hot 100 hits for artists including Ashanti, Ja Rule, Ye, DMX, Fat Joe, Mary J. Blige and Jay-Z, Billboard reported. In 2003, he won a Grammy for co-producing Ashanti's debut studio album.

Def Jam said it was "deeply saddened" by his death and said Gotti's contributions "helped pave the way for the next generation of artists and producers, a force that reshaped the soundscape of hip hop and R&B," a post on Instagram stated.

"His creative genius and unwavering dedication to the culture birthed countless hits, defining an era of music that continues to resonate with fans worldwide," Def Jam said. "Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all those who were touched by his work."
