 Unknown individuals looted palliatives at our Owerri rally – City Boy Movement An empowerment programme organised by the City Boy Movement, a support group for President Bola Tinubu, descended into disorder on Saturday when a large crowd surged forward and looted items intended for distribution to beneficiaries across Nigeria's South-East region. The event, held at Heroes Square in Owerri, marked the official launch of the Renewed Hope National Tour and the City Boy Movement South-East Youth Tour and Empowerment Programme on March 14, 2026. It aimed to provide support to young people, market traders, and vulnerable individuals from Abia, Anambra, Imo, Ebonyi, and Enugu states. MOHBAD'S DEATH: COURT EXONERATES NAIRA MARLEY, SAM LARRY, PRIMEBOY. (PHOTO).

 A Magistrate Court has acquitted Nigerian singer Abdulazeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, of any wrongdoing in the death of fellow artist Aloba Oladimeji lleriOluwa, also known as Mohbad. The court's decision was based on the legal advice of the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) Lagos, which stated that Naira Marley had no case to answer.


Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje also freed music promoter Samson Balogun Eletu (Sam Larry), Owodunni Ibrahim (Primeboy), and Mohbad's former manager, Opere Babatunde, of any involvement in Mohbad's death.


However, the DPP announced that it will prosecute Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who treated Mohbad, and Ayobami Sadiq, a friend of Mohbad's, for reckless and negligent acts under Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. The prosecution will take place at the Magistrate Court.
