 NAF Launches Investigation Into Clash Between Personnel and Civilians


The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has initiated an investigation into a confrontation between its personnel and civilians that took place on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, in Unguwan Gangare, Barakallahu, Kaduna State.


In a statement on Thursday, Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa, NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, confirmed that some individuals sustained injuries during the incident and are currently receiving medical treatment at the 461 NAF Hospital.


“Additionally, we deeply regret the loss of a life and have reached out to the deceased’s family to offer our condolences and assure them of a thorough investigation to ensure justice,” the statement read.


The NAF reaffirmed its commitment to discipline and professionalism, stating that a full inquiry is underway.


“Any personnel found culpable will be held accountable in line with our commitment to justice and transparency,” Akinboyewa added.


He urged the public to remain calm as investigations proceed, emphasizing that the Air Force remains dedicated to protecting and serving Nigerians while maintaining trust with host communities.
