 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. ORJI KALU NAMED CHAIRMAN OF SOUTH-EAST DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION BY SENATE. (PHOTO).

The Senate has appointed Senator Orji Uzor Kalu as the pioneer Chairman Senate Committee on South-East Development Commission (SEDC), a newly created regional development commission signed into law by President Bola Tinubu.¹ Kalu, a former Abia Governor and current Chairman of the Senate Committee on Privatisation, is expected to lead the commission in achieving its objectives, including civil restitution, erosion control, security restoration, and infrastructure improvement.


Senator Ken Eze was also appointed as the Vice Chairman of the committee, while other members will be announced later. The Senate confirmed the 18-member board of the SEDC, led by Dr. Emeka Nworgu as Chairman and Hon. Mark Okoye as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.

The SEDC aims to address the region's development challenges, and Kalu's leadership is expected to play a crucial role in achieving this goal.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
