 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. *Re: Trending Video on Facebook Showing Police Officers Mishandling a Civilian*


1. The Abia State Police Command is aware of a trending video on Facebook depicting some police officers manhandling a civilian. The incident is alleged to have occurred along Lagos Street, Umuahia on 20/02/2025


2. The officers involved have been identified, and are currently under interrogation at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).


3. The public will be updated after necessary administrative actions are taken against the erring officers.


4. The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, strongly condemns this act of unprofessional misconduct and incivility toward members of the public. He reiterates that under his leadership, the command is committed to ensuring a professionally competent, Rule of law complaint, and people-friendly police force in line with the vision of the Inspector General of Police.


5. The public is hereby advised to report any misconduct, unprofessional behavior, or incivility by officers of the command to the Complaint Response Unit via 09031593827, 09035401645.
