  Chikun/Kajuru Rep, Hon. Fidelix Bagudu, Announces New Appointments To Strengthen Inclusive Governance The Honourable Member representing the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Hon. Fidelix Joseph Bagudu, has announced a wide-ranging list of new appointments aimed at deepening inclusive governance and enhancing representation across the constituency. The appointments, which take immediate effect, were unveiled in alignment with Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani’s commitment to participatory governance. According to the lawmaker’s office, the list reflects deliberate efforts to ensure fair representation of all wards, communities, and interest groups across Chikun and Kajuru Local Government Areas (LGAs).  Renowned Singer and Pianist Roberta Flack Passes Away at 88


The music world is mourning the loss of legendary Grammy-winning singer and pianist Roberta Flack, who passed away peacefully on Monday at the age of 88, surrounded by her family.


Flack's distinctive vocal and musical style captivated audiences in the 1970s with hits like "Killing Me Softly with His Song" and "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face." Her legacy extends beyond her iconic songs, as she broke boundaries and records throughout her illustrious career.


According to her publicist, Flack "died peacefully surrounded by her family" and will be remembered as a "proud educator" and trailblazing performer.


Flack had been battling ALS since 2022, although the exact cause of her death was not disclosed.


Born Roberta Cleopatra Flack on February 10, 1937, in Black Mountain, North Carolina, she began singing in churches and playing piano at a young age. She went on to graduate from Howard University at 19 and began teaching music in the Washington, D.C. area.


Flack's music career took off in the late 1960s, with performances at Mr. Henry's Restaurant on Capitol Hill and eventual success with her unique blend of pop, folk, and soul music.


Throughout her career, Flack earned numerous accolades, including multiple Grammy Awards, and cemented her place as one of the most beloved and respected voices in music.
