 Prince William and Kate Middleton bring George, Charlotte and Louis to Commonwealth Games for first Scotland public outing Prince William and Kate Middleton brought their three children to the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, marking the siblings’ first official public appearance in Scotland. The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 44, attended the sporting event on Saturday, Aug. 1, during their summer break with Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8. While in Scotland, where William and Kate are known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, the family spent time with Team Wales athletes and their families. The couple also visited SportsAid, an organisation that supports young athletes. Kate has served as patron of the organisation since 2013. SENATE NAMES SENATOR AUSTIN AKOBUNDU VICE CHAIRMAN OF AIR FORCE COMMITTEE. (PHOTO).

The Nigerian Senate has appointed Senator Austin Akobundu as the Vice Chairman of its Committee on Air Force. The announcement was made by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during a recent plenary session.


Senator Akobundu, who represents Abia Central Senatorial District, brings a unique combination of military experience and legislative expertise to his new role. His appointment is expected to strengthen the Senate's oversight of the Air Force and support efforts to enhance its capabilities.


As Vice Chairman of the Committee on Air Force, Senator Akobundu will work closely with other committee members to ensure effective governance and oversight of the Air Force. His experience and knowledge will be invaluable assets in shaping policies and decisions that impact the nation's air defense.
