 TROOPS APPREHEND SUSPECTED TERRORIST COLLABORATORS, FAMILY OF ISWAP FINANCE CHIEF SURRENDERS, RECOVER LOGISTICS ITEMS Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have continued to sustain pressure on  terrorists through series of intelligence-led operations that resulted in the arrest of suspected terrorist collaborators, the surrender of the family members of a senior ISWAP commander, and the recovery of terrorist logistics items. In one of the operations conducted on 27 July 2026, troops of 5 Brigade arrested six ISWAP collaborators in Damasak, Borno State. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly generating funds for the terrorist group through the procurement and sale of cattle at designated markets in Gubio, Damasak and Ajuwango. Items recovered from the suspects included one Volkswagen Golf vehicle, vehicle keys, four mobile phones of different brands, cow meat and the sum of ₦317,950.00. Donald Trump will make history by becoming the first sitting US president to attend a Super Bowl when the NFL season reaches its climax in New Orleans.


Donald Trump will make history by becoming the first sitting US president to attend a Super Bowl when the NFL season reaches its climax in New Orleans this weekend, the White House said Tuesday.

A White House official confirmed US media reports that Trump will attend Sunday's game at the Caesars Superdome, where the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Philadelphia Eagles


Trump is the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl, and his presence comes amid feverish security preparations in the city, in the week of the deadly New Year’s Eve terror attack, in which 14 people were killed and scores more were injured. 

According to The Guardian, the president will also sit down for a pre-recorded interview that will be aired on the pregame show for Fox, this year’s broadcaster for the Super Bowl


Former president Joe Biden declined to sit down for a Super Bowl interview in 2023 and 2024, and Trump also declined in 2018 during his first term.

The president is a keen sports fan and has previously been known to attend high-profile sporting events, including MMA matches and college football playoff games.

Trump has not said which team he will be supporting on Sunday, though several members of the Kansas City Chiefs, including kicker Harrison Butker and Brittany Mahomes, the wife of star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, have aligned themselves with the MAGA movement.
