Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen step out in coordinated black looks for New York stroll Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen made a rare joint appearance in New York City, stepping out together for a relaxed afternoon in matching, understated fashion. The 39-year-old twins were seen walking through Midtown Manhattan on April 30, dressed in coordinated black trench coats paired with wide-leg denim. They completed the look with sunglasses, scarves, and structured alligator handbags from their luxury label, The Row, before stopping for lunch during their outing. Long before becoming fashion insiders, the sisters built global recognition as child actors through projects like Full House, It Takes Two, and New York Minute.  US to Discharge Transgender Troops Unless Granted Waivers

The Pentagon announced on Wednesday that transgender troops will be removed from the U.S. military unless they receive individual waivers.

This directive was revealed in a Pentagon memo included in a court filing related to a legal challenge against President Donald Trump’s late-January executive order, which sought to ban transgender individuals from serving in the military.

“Service members diagnosed with gender dysphoria or exhibiting related symptoms will be processed for separation from military service,” the memo stated.

However, the policy allows for case-by-case waivers if a compelling government interest justifies retaining a service member, particularly in roles critical to military operations.

To qualify for a waiver, personnel must demonstrate that they have never attempted to transition and must show 36 consecutive months of stability in their assigned sex without significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other critical functions.

A previous Pentagon memo issued earlier this month had already prohibited transgender individuals from enlisting and suspended gender transition treatments for those currently serving.

Additionally, the latest directive disqualifies individuals with a history of gender dysphoria, cross-sex hormone therapy, or sex reassignment surgery from joining the military.
