A British woman who traveled to Delhi to meet a man she befriended on Instagram was allegedly raped at a hotel in Mahipalpur.
The Delhi Police arrested the accused, identified as Kailash, in connection with the r@pe case. Another man, a housekeeping staff member at the hotel, was also arrested for allegedly molesting the woman. The incident came to light when the police received a call from a hospital in the early hours of Wednesday.

According to officials, the woman met the accused online in February and arrived in India on March 7. After visiting Goa, she reached Delhi on March 11 and booked a room at a Mahipalpur hotel, where she met Kailash. During their meeting, she briefly stepped out of her room, and at that moment, a hotel housekeeping staff member allegedly molested her. Later, inside the hotel room, Kailash allegedly r@ped her. The woman then went to the hospital, where the police were informed about the incident.

Following her complaint, the police launched an investigation and arrested both men. Kailash, the primary accused, is 25 years old, unemployed, and has completed his 12th grade. Police have also retrieved chat messages between him and the woman, which are being examined as part of the case. Officials are also investigating the role of the hotel staff in the matter and whether there were any lapses in security.

The British High Commission has been informed about the case, and further legal action is being taken. The police have assured a fair and thorough investigation into the matter. The survivor is receiving medical care, and authorities are providing her with all necessary support. The incident has raised concerns over the safety of foreign tourists in India, prompting calls for stricter measures to prevent such crimes.
