  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  Edo Mayhem: Police Confirm 7 Deaths, Arrest of 14 Suspects


A tragic incident occurred in Uromi, Esan North-East Local Government Area of Edo State, resulting in the deaths of seven people suspected to be kidnappers. According to Moses Yamu, spokesperson of the Edo State Police Command, 14 suspects have been arrested in connection with the killings.


The incident unfolded on March 27, 2025, when a truck conveying 25 travelers from Port Harcourt was accosted by vigilante group members at Uromi. Some of the travelers were found with locally made dane guns and were arrested. However, the situation escalated, and 16 of the occupants were attacked and lynched by the vigilantes and passersby.


Police operatives swiftly intervened, rescuing 10 of the travelers, two of whom sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment. The police have condemned the killings and urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with the investigation.


In response to the incident, a unit of Police Mobile Force personnel has been deployed to the area to maintain law and order. The Commissioner of Police, Betty Enekpen Isokpan, has cautioned against reprisal attacks or unlawful gatherings that may exacerbate tensions.


The Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to declare a state of emergency in the state due to the rising insecurity.
