 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Jandor Resigns from PDP, Cites Lack of Accountability Among Party Leaders 


Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing dissatisfaction with the party’s leadership and lack of accountability.  


In a statement shared on his official page, Jandor expressed disappointment that those who worked against the party during elections are now in key leadership positions. He questioned how party members could trust such individuals in future elections.  


Following extensive consultations with his family, political associates, and supporters, Jandor stated that the decision to leave PDP was a difficult but necessary step. However, he reaffirmed his commitment to Lagosians, promising to continue advocating for policies that will improve the state, regardless of political affiliation.  


He assured his supporters that this move marks the beginning of a new chapter, emphasizing sincerity, progress, and service to the people. Jandor also hinted at engaging with stakeholders to determine his next political direction.
