 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. Invasion of De Latinos Concept Umuahia


His Excellency, Governor Alex Otti has received with shock, the news of the Invasion and attack of a popular Entertainment/Hospitality outfit in Umuahia, De Latinos Concept, on Sunday March 9, 2025, leading to the destruction of items and injuries on innocent persons.


The Governor has therefore directed the Commissioner of Police to fish out the perpetrators of the violence and bring them to justice.


He vowed that every single person involved in the attack would be prosecuted to serve as a lesson to others who may want to indulge in similar acts in the future. 


Governor Otti also sent the Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu who visited the scene and commiserated with the management and staff of De Latinos on behalf of the Governor and the State Government.


Engr. Emetu who was jointly received on arrival by the CEO of De Latinos and the State Commissioner of Police CP Danladi Isa, expressed regret over the unfortunate incident and reassured the management that the government would do everything to protect investors and their investments in the state, assuring that government would get to the root of the matter.


Also speaking, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa expressed regret over the incident which he described as avoidable, and disclosed that officers behind the incident had been arrested and were being interrogated. 


Governor Otti wishes to reassure Abians that his government is committed to creating and sustaining the enabling environment for legitimate businesses to thrive and thus would not sit idly by and watch some unpatriotic persons instill fear in the minds of innocent residents and business owners in the state.
