Sean Strickland forcibly removed from UFC White House event by Secret Service UFC Middleweight Champion Sean Strickland was removed from the UFC Freedom 250 Fan Fest at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C., after showing up despite claiming he had been excluded from the White House event.  Strickland later clarified on Instagram that he was not arrested but suggested he might face a disorderly conduct charge, which in D.C. carries penalties of up to 90 days in jail or a $500 fine.  His presence drew immediate hostility from the pro-Trump crowd, with chants of “USA” erupting before Secret Service agents escorted him out.  Kano Assembly Summons LGA Chairman Over Rano Market Demolition


The Kano State House of Assembly has summoned the Chairman of Rano Local Government Area to explain the recent demolition of structures at Rano Market, a move that has stirred controversy among traders and residents.


During Monday’s plenary session, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad Rano, the lawmaker representing Rano LGA, raised an urgent motion calling for intervention to support affected traders. He lamented that the demolitions were conducted without prior notice, leaving hundreds of traders in distress and threatening the area's economic stability.


In response, the Assembly approved the motion and directed the local government chairman to appear before lawmakers to justify the action, particularly in light of the hardships it has caused.


Meanwhile, some affected traders have appealed to the state government for intervention, urging an immediate halt to further demolitions and assistance for those impacted.


The Assembly reassured the public that it would continue to monitor the situation to ensure justice and safeguard the rights of the affected community.
