Yemen fighting pushes nearly 3,000 to Djibouti in less than a week: UN    Nearly 3,000 people have fled Yemen for Djibouti in less than a week as escalating violence drives growing displacement within the country and across its borders, the UN refugee agency said Friday. “Refugees continue to arrive by boat through Obock, Khor Angar, Moulhoule and Godoria after difficult journeys in small vessels,” UNHCR representative in Djibouti Sandrine Desamours told reporters in Geneva, Anadolu Agency reported. More than half of those crossing the Bab el-Mandeb Strait are women and children, while some families have been displaced for a second time after previously fleeing Yemen during the 2015 crisis and later returning. UNHCR is preparing for at least 10,000 new arrivals but warned that capacity is rapidly diminishing. Actress Iyabo Ojo has expressed gratitude and pride in how her good deeds have positively impacted her children.

In a recent interview with Seun Oloketuyi, Iyabo said she believes that her kids are reaping the benefits of her hard work and kindness.

Iyabo emphasised the value of self-reliance, noting that individuals must take care of themselves.

She also credited daughter, Priscilla, with encouraging her to join TikTok, which has generated significant income for her.

Iyabo said: “Good pay. I feel like what I am reaping today or my children are reaping today is the good that I have done.

“When I die today, nobody is dying with me. When I am hungry right now, no matter how much you love me, you won’t give me your womb or your intestines to quench my hunger; I have to sort myself out.

“Every man is on his own. When you have kids early, trust me you don’t want to grow old because your kids will always make you feel young. Priscilla talked me into using TikTok, if I didn’t have her in my life, I would probably not have made so much money on TikTok”.
