 Kufana Youths Apprehend Suspected Transformer Vandals, Hand Over Suspects To Police The Executive Chairman of Kajuru Local Government Council, Hon. Dauda Madaki, has commended the vigilance and bravery of youths in Kufana community following the arrest of suspected transformer vandals in the early hours of Tuesday. The suspects, identified as Denis Reuben of Kurmin Ido, Haruna Ado of Kurmin Kwari, and another individual, were reportedly caught while allegedly attempting to steal transformer coils. Their arrest was carried out by a patrol team led by Mr. Samaila Akawu, alongside the community Youth Leader, Mr. Chris Lingo, and other vigilant youths. Following the arrest, the suspects were handed over to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation and possible prosecution. Reacting to the development, Hon.  SERAP Warns Senate President Akpabio To Reverse Natasha’s Suspension Or Face Legal Action 


The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called on Senate President Godswill Akpabio to immediately reverse the suspension of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, describing it as "patently unlawful."


In a statement on Sunday, SERAP argued that the suspension was based solely on Akpoti-Uduaghan’s peaceful exercise of her constitutionally and internationally recognized right to freedom of expression.


"The Senate should immediately reinstate Mrs. Akpoti-Uduaghan and revise parliamentary procedures that unduly restrict senators' human rights," SERAP stated.
