TAKE YOUR WIFE AS YOUR FIRST DAUGHTER, NOT AS YOUR MATE- PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. (PHOTO).

Take your wife as your first daughter, not as your mate – Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Popular preacher and televangelist Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has shared his perspective on why men should regard their wives as their first daughters rather than as equals.

In a widely circulated video of him addressing his congregation, he stated, "Consider your wife as your first daughter, not as your mate."

Pastor Oyakhilome, the leader of LoveWorld Incorporated, emphasized that when men view their wives as equals, they may become frustrated with their actions due to heightened expectations. Conversely, if a man perceives his wife as a daughter, he is likely to be more forgiving and understanding of her behavior.

He elaborated, saying, “If you view your wife as a mate, you may find yourself offended by her actions because you expect more from her. However, if you see her as your daughter, you will be more gracious and able to overlook minor issues.”

The statement has sparked various reactions online. One user, @sirjokesinfo, humorously questioned, “So if I want to sleep with her at night, should I still think of her as my daughter? Or mother? Asking for my best friend.”

Another user, @SemiNigerian, commented, “What he said actually makes a lot of sense. If you see her as a mate, you’ll end up fighting a lot.”

@AJwealth7 added, “This concept is interconnected though 😂.”

@kingRoye defended the pastor against critics, stating, “For those saying he’s a divorcee and can’t teach about marriage, I hope you don’t disregard Paul’s teachings on marriage since he was never married, or Jesus’s messages on sin because he never sinned. You’re being hypocritical and judgmental towards men of God as if they aren’t human like you.”

Lastly, @johnnyblaze_404 remarked, “What the Bible says is clear. The teachings of religious leaders and motivational speakers often leave you wondering which part of the Bible they’re referencing. Revelation 22:19-20 warns against adding or subtracting from the word!”
