 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. THE RSHA HAS INITIATED IMPEACHMENT PROCEEDINGS AGAINST GOV. FUBARA AND HIS DEPUTY, CITING MULTIPLE ALLEGATIONS OF MISCONDUCT. (PHOTOS).


 The Rivers State House of Assembly has initiated impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Prof. Ngozi Odu, citing multiple allegations of misconduct.


Key accusations against Governor Fubara include:


-Budget Violations – Failure to present the 2024 Appropriation Bill and unauthorized withdrawals from the state’s Consolidated Revenue Fund.

-Court Order Disobedience – Ignoring judicial rulings regarding budget approvals and government expenditures.

-Legislative Interference – Hindering the operations of the House of Assembly and supervising the demolition of the Assembly complex despite court injunctions.

-Unlawful Appointments – Appointing government officials without proper screening and confirmation by the Assembly.

-Financial Mismanagement – Withholding funds meant for the Assembly and its members, including salaries.


The Supreme Court has previously condemned Fubara’s actions, stating that political disagreements do not justify attacks on the rule of law. The impeachment process is ongoing.
