 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State.  TROOPS OF 3 DIVISION/OPERATION SAFE HAVEN ARREST NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL RECOVER ARMS AMMUNITION AND RUSTLED CATTLE IN MANGU LGA OF PLATEAU STATE


The troops of 3 Division/Operation SAFE HAVEN on Operation LAFIYAN JAMA'A in Mangu LGA of Plateau State on 23 March 2025 at about 4:50pm responded to information about criminal activities around Youth Centre at Sabon Layi Axis in Mangu LGA of Plateau State. During the operation, troops made contact with a cattle rustling syndicate who had rustled 30 cows. Troops exchanged fire and overwhelmed the criminals forcing them to free. Troops exploited the general area and arrested one Nashak Wilson aged 29 years from Jwakkom Village in Mangu LGA of Plateau State armed with one AK-47 rifle loaded with 2 rounds of 7.62 mm (Special). Further exploitation led to the recovery of 30 cows rustled by the criminal syndicate.  


The recovered cows have been handed over to the owner, Alhaji Yakuba Musa from Kwahas Village in Mangu LGA of Plateau State. Meanwhile, the arrested suspect and recovered arms and ammunition are in custody for further action. Troops are on the trail of the fleeing criminals.
