 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  TROOPS OF 3 DIVISION/OPERATION SAFE HAVEN ARREST NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL RECOVER ARMS AMMUNITION AND RUSTLED CATTLE IN MANGU LGA OF PLATEAU STATE


The troops of 3 Division/Operation SAFE HAVEN on Operation LAFIYAN JAMA'A in Mangu LGA of Plateau State on 23 March 2025 at about 4:50pm responded to information about criminal activities around Youth Centre at Sabon Layi Axis in Mangu LGA of Plateau State. During the operation, troops made contact with a cattle rustling syndicate who had rustled 30 cows. Troops exchanged fire and overwhelmed the criminals forcing them to free. Troops exploited the general area and arrested one Nashak Wilson aged 29 years from Jwakkom Village in Mangu LGA of Plateau State armed with one AK-47 rifle loaded with 2 rounds of 7.62 mm (Special). Further exploitation led to the recovery of 30 cows rustled by the criminal syndicate.  


The recovered cows have been handed over to the owner, Alhaji Yakuba Musa from Kwahas Village in Mangu LGA of Plateau State. Meanwhile, the arrested suspect and recovered arms and ammunition are in custody for further action. Troops are on the trail of the fleeing criminals.
