 Trump announces Hamas disarmament and Israeli troop withdrawal agreement under Gaza ceasefire plan   President Donald Trump announced Thursday that Hamas has agreed to a plan to disarm and that Israel will withdraw its forces from Gaza as part of a U.S.-backed ceasefire framework. Trump described the agreement as a major step toward creating a new Palestinian government in Gaza that would work with the newly established Board of Peace to oversee the next stages of the plan. The president said the agreement would also provide Israel with increased security by preventing Gaza from being used as a launching point for future attacks. Details of the agreement were limited, and neither Israel nor Hamas immediately released statements responding to Trump’s announcement. The Board of Peace said Hamas had agreed to a roadmap for moving forward with the next phases of the ceasefire after months of negotiations. U. S. SECRET SERVICE AGENTS SHOT AN ARMED MAN AFTER A CONFRONTATION TODAY. (PHOTO).

 An armed man believed to be traveling from Indiana was shot by U.S. Secret Service agents near the White House after a confrontation early Sunday, according to authorities. 


No one else was injured in the shooting that happened around midnight about a block from the White House, according to a Secret Service statement. President Donald Trump was in Florida at the time of the shooting. 


The Secret Service received information from local police about an alleged "suicidal individual" who was traveling from Indiana and found the man's car and a person matching his description nearby. 


"As officers approached, the individual brandished a firearm and an armed confrontation ensued, during which shots were fired by our personnel," the Secret Service said in a statement. 


The man was hospitalized. The Secret Service said his condition was "unknown."
