 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. UNIPORT Promotes 46 Senior Lecturers to Professor and Associate Professor Ranks


The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has promoted 30 senior lecturers to the rank of professor and 16 others to associate professor.


Vice Chancellor Prof. Owunari Georgewill announced the promotions in a statement on Tuesday, noting that the academics underwent a rigorous assessment process. The promotions were approved during the university’s 187th Governing Council meeting, chaired by Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Sen. Mao Ohuabunwa.


A breakdown of the promotions shows that the Faculty of Science has seven new professors, followed by the Faculties of Social Sciences and Management Sciences with five each. The College of Health Sciences also had five, while the Faculties of Humanities, Engineering, and Pharmaceuticals had four, three, and one, respectively.


Among the 16 newly promoted associate professors, the Faculty of Engineering produced four, the Faculty of Science three, and the Faculties of Education and Humanities two each. Other faculties, including Agriculture, Social Sciences, Management Sciences, the College of Health Sciences, and the School of Science Laboratory Technology, each had one.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
