Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. A HERO RANCH DOG SURPRISED HIS OWNER WHEN HE BROUGHT HOME A NEW FRIEND... A MISSING CHILD!. (PHOTOS)

A hero ranch dog surprised his owner when he brought home a new friend... A MISSING CHILD!

When 2-year-old Boden Allen went missing in Yavapai County, Arizona it seemed like the only outcome would be the worst possible one. The area where Boden went missing in northern Arizona is considered high desert and is particularly unforgiving. Night time is even more dangerous with freezing temps and predators on the prowl, hunting for prey.

This is why when Boden walked away from his home everyone involved was holding their breath and praying for a huge miracle. Over 40 volunteers searched the desert all evening and throughout the night. During the search the pressure to find Boden reached a fevered pitch after volunteers stumbled across two separate adult mountain lions hunting for prey.

Then, 16 hours into the search, their miracle happened. Officials received a call from local rancher Scotty Dunton. He had an incredible story. He informed the investigators his dog Buford was out patrolling the property (as usual) and when he returned... he had little Boden with him.

Scotty said, "Buford just brought him up from the horse pasture and brought him over to the gate and was just hanging out with him."

The real mystery is how this very young child made it 7 miles from his home and survived 16 hours in the unforgiving terrain. Scotty asked Boden if he had walked all night and he responded he had "slept under a tree". When asked if Buford found him, Boden simply replied "yep".

Officials believe Boden probably followed the power lines which run in a straight line from his home to where he was found. It was quite a big journey for such a little man.

Most stories like this do not have the happy ending we are seeing. We are just thrilled Boden was found safely.

Good boy, Buford. Very good boy. ♥️.
