A NEW BORN BABY IS FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE AFTER NEARLY BLEEDING TO DEATH FROM CIRCUMCISION. (PHOTOS).

A new born baby is fighting for his life after nearly bleeding to death from circumcision.

Little Cole Groth made his first appearance in this world on March 31st at the New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital. Cole was born with a heart disease and required a stint. After having the procedure, Cole seemed to be recovering well and despite a stay in the hospital's NICU his parents were hopeful they would be taking their little baby boy home soon.

After being cleared for discharge, the staff asked Tim and Gabrielle Groth (Cole's parents) what seemed like a standard question. They asked, "Do you want Cole circumcised?" After this, everything would change.

Tim and Gabrielle say the hospital failed to inform them of any additional risks in having a circumcision when suffering from congenital heart disease. The parents confirmed they would like Cole to be circumcised.

On the day after the circumcision, Tim says he walked into the hospital room and his whole world changed. He noticed Cole was crying in a way he had never heard before. He said Cole was extremely pale and did not resemble the healthy and happy baby boy from just the day before.

Tim soon learned his baby had been allowed to bleed continuously for over 10 hours after the circumcision. Due to the excessive bleeding, Cole's vital organs had been deprived of blood and oxygen. This caused extensive damage to his liver,  kidneys and brain.

Now, almost a month later, Cole remains in critical condition and has endured multiple surgeries and sadly requires daily blood transfusions.

All that is left for these parents to do is pray for their son Cole and anxiously await the day they can bring their little brave little boy home to meet his brother.

They wonder how the staff of the NCIU unit could let something like this happen. As of now they have no clear answers and all their time and energy is going towards Cole and his recovery.

The hospital has been very tight-lipped on the incident and have refused to comment on the situation citing patient privacy policies.

Our thoughts are with Cole and his parents as this family copes with this unforeseen nightmare. We truly hope Cole makes a full recovery.
