  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  Abia Government Diverts Traffic After Diesel Tanker Accident


The Abia State government has directed motorists traveling to Abiriba, Nkporo, and Ohafia to reroute through Bende Road following an accident involving a diesel tanker on Saturday. The tanker overturned on the newly paved road between Igbere Junction and Igbere Hill in Bende Local Government Area, spilling its contents and raising safety concerns among residents.


No fatalities were reported, but the diesel spill created hazardous conditions, prompting swift action from the Abia State Road Safety and Traffic Management Agency. The agency issued a statement advising drivers heading toward Igbere-Abiriba-Ohafia to use the Umuahia-Bende Road as an alternative route while cleanup efforts are underway. Authorities assured the public that the road is being cleared to ensure safety and accessibility.


Despite warnings about the risk of explosion, some residents and transporters were seen scooping diesel from the spill site, heightening concerns about potential dangers. The agency continues to monitor the situation and urged road users to comply with the diversion for their safety.
