 Sudan’s Burhan visits Egypt for talks on ongoing war with paramilitary RSF Leaders of Sudan and Egypt discussed on Thursday ways to strengthen bilateral relations and the latest Sudanese developments amid ongoing fighting with the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Head of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, arrived in Cairo for a one-day visit, and was welcomed by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi upon arrival. An Egyptian presidency statement said the two leaders discussed the latest situation in Sudan and regional and international efforts to restore peace and stability in the country. Sisi affirmed Egypt’s support for the Sudanese people and its firm position on Sudan's unity, sovereignty, security, and stability.  Akpabio Denies Natasha’s Assassination Allegation, Demands Retraction


Senate President Godswill Akpabio has dismissed as false and malicious claims by suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan that he conspired with ex-Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello to assassinate her.


In a statement on Friday, Akpabio’s media aide, Eseme Eyiboh, described the allegation as a dangerous smear campaign aimed at damaging his reputation. He also referenced Natasha’s past unproven allegations of sexual harassment, calling her accusations a pattern of misinformation.


Akpabio further refuted claims by former Senator Elisha Abbo, who accused him of orchestrating his removal from the Senate, labeling both accusations as a coordinated political attack.


He has demanded public apologies and retractions from both individuals or risk legal action.
