The beleaguered lawmaker emphasized her official duty as the representative of her constituents.

She called on her supporters to come out in large numbers to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr with her.

On Monday, the Kogi State Government prohibited rallies and public gatherings in the state due to "security reports."

The government also banned fishing and other activities, citing recent incidents that resulted in two fatalities in Kasemiya, Katubo, and Umozu Ette, all located in the Kogi Local Government Area in Kogi West.

Commissioner for Information Kingsley Fanwo stated that this action was taken to prevent any potential security threats that could destabilize the state.

Likewise, the Kogi Police Command advised Akpoti-Uduagan to cancel her planned Sallah rally.
