 TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE ARREST HIGH PROFILE CRIMINAL IN BENUE COMMUNITY Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE arrested a high-profile suspected criminal during an intelligence-driven operation in Agasha Village of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following a report of an attack on a local resident. The operation was launched on 13 March 2026 after security agencies received credible information regarding an attack on Mr Shaapera Seeta Michael in Agasha Village. Acting swiftly on the report, troops of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Intervention Battalion XI deployed under Operation WHIRL STROKE mobilised immediately to the affected area to track down the suspect responsible for the assault. Upon arrival, the troops cordoned the area to prevent the suspect from escaping while conducting a targeted search operation aimed at identifying and apprehending the alleged attacker.  *SECURITY INFORMATION FROM NDI ANAMBRA: ANAMBRA POLICE NOTES THAT RESIDENTS ARE TIRED OF CRIMINALS THREATENING THEIR PEACE AND DESTROYING ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES ON MONDAY AND EXPRESS MORE ZEAL TO COLLABORATE WITH THE SECURITY AGENCIES


The Anambra State Police Command today 21st April 2025, after necessary security assessment and feedback on the *Operation Udo Ga Chi - Zero Kidnapping* operations revealed that *Ndi Anambra* is exhausted with criminals threatening their peace and destroying economic activities of the State, especially on Monday. They have also exhibited more commitment to collaborate with security agencies to fish out the bad eggs within the State.


Consequently, the State Commissioner of Police *CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc MNIPS PhD*, has expressed his delight over the improved resilience of residents over the Monday Sit-At-Home. He has further assured of the implementation of various security initiatives to enhance safety, foster community engagement and uphold the rule of law. 


*Operation Udo Ga Chi - Zero Kidnapping and other violent crimes* is intelligence-driven with Joint Security targeted patrols with the Operatives posted to identify locations like Awka, Nnewi, Ihiala, Onitsha, Ogidi, Otuocha and some other places with Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC) on the alert. 


This strategic move is aimed at reinforcing public confidence as well as ensuring the continued safety and security of all residents.
