 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Dangote Refinery Slashes Petrol Price to ₦835/Litre


Dangote Refinery has cut the ex-depot price of petrol to ₦835 per litre—a ₦30 drop from last week’s ₦865, and a ₦45 reduction from ₦880 earlier this month. This marks the third price cut in six weeks.


The new rate, confirmed via pro forma invoice and petroleumprice.ng, includes statutory charges from the NMDPRA. Diesel remains at $608 plus surcharges, while jet fuel stands at $664.75 with added costs. Coastal sales and LPG remain on hold.


The cut aligns with declining landing costs, now at ₦853 per litre, and comes amid the approval of 117,000 metric tonnes of petrol imports between April 8–16.


This also follows the renewed implementation of the Naira-for-Crude policy, a long-term initiative aimed at boosting local refining and easing FX pressures.
