Terrifying new dashcam footage shows moment doomed NBC helicopter falls out of the sky The terrifying moment an NBC helicopter fell out of the sky and plunged into the ground near where an SUV had slammed into a Metro bus was caught on dashcam. The video, obtained by KTLA, shows the helicopter descending, caught from afar on the vehicle camera of Yera Valencia. She said: “I downloaded the video of my dashcam. It’s a little dot on the video. It’s a crisp video and it just goes down.” She added: “God, it’s so close, it could have happened to anyone. My parents walk down the street.” The two back-to-back Tuesday night crashes resulted in five deaths — two involving the bus and SUV, and three as a result of the chopper going down, killing reporter Eliana Moreno, pilot George Marciniw and pedestrian Edy Gutierrez Mejia.

DSS Foils Plot to Incite Unrest in Delta, Arrests Army Major and Others

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a foreign-based Army major and several accomplices in a crackdown on an alleged plot to instigate tribal unrest in Warri, Delta State, sources revealed on Friday.

According to insiders, the officer, of Itsekiri origin, was allegedly recruited by an individual named Collins to procure weapons and ammunition to fuel tensions in the oil-rich region. DSS operatives from the Delta Command apprehended an arms supplier during a covert operation near Asaba, seizing over 50 AK-47 rifles, six pump-action shotguns, and more than 3,000 rounds of ammunition.

The Army major was intercepted by DSS agents in Lagos while attempting to cross Nigeria’s border en route to the United Kingdom. “All suspects are now in DSS custody,” a source stated, adding that the agency is conducting a thorough investigation to hold those plotting tribal conflicts accountable. A traditional ruler is also reportedly under discreet investigation in connection with the case.

The arrests follow heightened tensions in Delta State over the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) ward delineation exercise, which the Itsekiri Nation has rejected, threatening legal action. On April 7, a related crisis in Warri South Local Government Area left one person dead and several houses destroyed, prompting the deployment of soldiers, police, and other security forces to restore order.

Efforts to obtain official confirmation from the DSS were unsuccessful as of press time.
