 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Easter: Nigerian Govt declares Friday, Monday as public holidays


The Federal Government has declared Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21 as public holidays to mark Good Friday and Easter Monday.


This was disclosed in a statement by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on Tuesday in Abuja.


Announcing this on behalf of the Federal Government, the Minister extended heartfelt congratulations to Christians across the country on this joyous occasion.


Tunji-Ojo emphasized the importance of embodying the virtues of the sacrifice and love displayed by Jesus Christ, having to die for the redemption of man.


The minister urged Nigerians to use the holiday period to pray for the peace, unity, and stability of the nation.


According to him, President Bola Tinubu was committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda, which seeks to strengthen national growth and development.


Tunji-Ojo also beseech the Nigerian citizens to extend love and goodwill to their neighbours through acts of kindness and generosity.


He felicitated with all Christians and wished them a blissful Easter celebration, extending warm holiday greetings to all Nigerians
