 IMO STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE OF 6TH DECEMBER, 2025 IMO POLICE COMMAND INTENSIFY CRACKDOWN ON KIDNAPPING, VIOLENT CRIMES ALONG OWERRI–ABA EXPRESSWAY As part of ongoing efforts to curb kidnapping and other violent crimes along the Owerri–Aba Expressway, a high-powered team led by the Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma on Saturday, 6th December, 2025, inspected suspected kidnappers hideouts in Umuhu Autonomous Community in Ngor-Okpala following credible intelligence on Stanley Morocco Oparaugo, currently at large.  Egypt president Sisi, Macron affirm 2-state solution is 'only guarantee' for peace


Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call Saturday from French President Emmanuel Macron, where both leaders discussed developments in Gaza Strip, according to Egypt Today.

 

The Official Spokesperson for the Presidency stated that the call addressed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them, as part of preparations for the French President's upcoming visit to Egypt.

 

Discussions focused on the most important cooperation topics raised during the visit and prospects for strengthening them in line with the interests of the two friendly countries, including the possibility of holding a tripartite Egyptian-French-Jordanian summit in Cairo during the French President's visit to Egypt.

 

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the Official Spokesperson, added that the call addressed developments in the Gaza Strip, where Egyptian efforts to achieve a ceasefire were reviewed.

 

The two presidents emphasized the importance of restoring calm through an immediate ceasefire and the provision of humanitarian aid. They also emphasized the importance of the two-state solution as the only guarantee for achieving lasting peace in the region.
