 JAMB Releases 2026 UTME Mop-Up Results, Set to Begin Candidate Ranking The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise. This crucial update marks the end of the testing phase for the current academic session, paving the way for the next stage of the tertiary admission process. According to a statement issued by JAMB's Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, candidates who sat for the mop-up examination can now access their performance details through the board's approved result-checking channels. Candidate Ranking and Admission Letter Printing With the mop-up results now live, JAMB is transitioning immediately into the screening and placement phase.  Egypt president Sisi, Macron affirm 2-state solution is 'only guarantee' for peace


Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call Saturday from French President Emmanuel Macron, where both leaders discussed developments in Gaza Strip, according to Egypt Today.

 

The Official Spokesperson for the Presidency stated that the call addressed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them, as part of preparations for the French President's upcoming visit to Egypt.

 

Discussions focused on the most important cooperation topics raised during the visit and prospects for strengthening them in line with the interests of the two friendly countries, including the possibility of holding a tripartite Egyptian-French-Jordanian summit in Cairo during the French President's visit to Egypt.

 

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the Official Spokesperson, added that the call addressed developments in the Gaza Strip, where Egyptian efforts to achieve a ceasefire were reviewed.

 

The two presidents emphasized the importance of restoring calm through an immediate ceasefire and the provision of humanitarian aid. They also emphasized the importance of the two-state solution as the only guarantee for achieving lasting peace in the region.
