 Kufana Youths Apprehend Suspected Transformer Vandals, Hand Over Suspects To Police The Executive Chairman of Kajuru Local Government Council, Hon. Dauda Madaki, has commended the vigilance and bravery of youths in Kufana community following the arrest of suspected transformer vandals in the early hours of Tuesday. The suspects, identified as Denis Reuben of Kurmin Ido, Haruna Ado of Kurmin Kwari, and another individual, were reportedly caught while allegedly attempting to steal transformer coils. Their arrest was carried out by a patrol team led by Mr. Samaila Akawu, alongside the community Youth Leader, Mr. Chris Lingo, and other vigilant youths. Following the arrest, the suspects were handed over to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation and possible prosecution. Reacting to the development, Hon.  Four Killed in Head-On Collision on R23 Road


Four people lost their lives in a tragic head-on collision between a sedan and a Ford Ranger bakkie on the R23 road between Balfour and Greylingstad last night.


The victims include the drivers of both vehicles and two passengers. One passenger from the bakkie sustained minor injuries and received treatment at Suikerbosrand Life Care Hospital in Heidelberg. He has since been discharged.


According to Moet Mmusi, spokesperson for the Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, the sedan involved in the collision was being towed at the time of the crash. The other sedan, which was towing it, was not damaged and its driver was unharmed.


The exact cause of the accident is still unclear, and an investigation is underway.
