 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  NIGERIAN NAVY SHIP SOROH CONDUCTS MEDICAL RHAPSODY IN BAYELSA STATE


On Friday 4 April 2025, Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) SOROH led by the Commander, Commodore OA Akinbami conducted a Medical Rhapsody in Tombia Community, Yenagoa LGA of Bayelsa State. The Rhapsody had series of services rendered to members of the Community which included free general consultation, free blood pressure checks, eye screening with free medicated glasses, free laboratory tests, free insecticide treated nets as well as health talk.


In his remarks, the Commander NNS SOROH stated that the outreach was in line with the Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral EI Ogalla’s strategic directive to all Commands, Ships and Establishments to conduct a medical outreach to host communities. Lastly, he said that the outreach will enhance Civil Military relationship with the host community thereby aiding intelligence gathering.


In attendance was the Acting paramount ruler of Tombia Community, Chief (Egnr) Ayabowei Christian Akpofaa Otobotekere represented by the Community Development Chairman, Mr Exodus Ebi who expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Navy for bringing such initiative to his community.
