 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  NSCDC:Anambra State Commandant Conducts On The Spot Assessment To JAMB CBT Examination Centers In Awka

The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,  Comdt. Maku Olatunde A. on April 24, conducted an on the spot assessment to several JAMB CBT examination centers in Awka, assessing security arrangements and interacting with deployed personnel.


According to SC Okadigbo Edwin, Head, Media and Tactical NSCDC Anambra State Command, the visited centers, including JAMB Office ICT Center, St. Patrick's College Awka, and St. John of God Awka, reported smooth proceedings with robust security, zero incidents, and JAMB officials assisting candidates.


"Commandant Maku, during his visit to the exam centers, emphasized the importance of maintaining a professional demeanor, urging officers and men to remain courteous and respectful in their interactions with candidates, thereby ensuring a positive experience for all.


"Interacting with personnel at the centers, Commandant Maku stressed the need for politeness and civility, reminding them that their conduct would reflect not only on themselves but also on the entire security agency.


"I commend you for your diligence and professionalism in ensuring a secure and peaceful JAMB examination process" he said.


Meanwhile, a separate monitoring team, led by Deputy Commandants Prominence Ukaobi, Akaachia Godwin and  Alada Yakubu, was deployed to oversee security at JAMB centers outside Awka Metropolis.
