 TROOPS APPREHEND SUSPECTED TERRORIST COLLABORATORS, FAMILY OF ISWAP FINANCE CHIEF SURRENDERS, RECOVER LOGISTICS ITEMS Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have continued to sustain pressure on  terrorists through series of intelligence-led operations that resulted in the arrest of suspected terrorist collaborators, the surrender of the family members of a senior ISWAP commander, and the recovery of terrorist logistics items. In one of the operations conducted on 27 July 2026, troops of 5 Brigade arrested six ISWAP collaborators in Damasak, Borno State. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly generating funds for the terrorist group through the procurement and sale of cattle at designated markets in Gubio, Damasak and Ajuwango. Items recovered from the suspects included one Volkswagen Golf vehicle, vehicle keys, four mobile phones of different brands, cow meat and the sum of ₦317,950.00.  Operation Sebabougou: Malian Forces Strengthen Sahel Security


Since dawn on April 28, the Malian Armed Forces launched a major operation in the Sébabougou sector, in the Nioro region of the Sahel, according to an army statement.


The objective was to restore order and secure the return of populations displaced by the atrocities of armed terrorist groups, Sputnik reported.


The operation's progress is marked by key achievements:


Regaining control of Sébabougou after an ambush attempt was repelled;


Airstrikes destroyed several enemy bases in forested areas;


21 terrorist fighters were neutralized, with substantial quantities of weapons recovered.


During the operation, five Malian soldiers were injured, and the Malian army seized military equipment left behind by fleeing terrorists.
