 TROOPS APPREHEND SUSPECTED TERRORIST COLLABORATORS, FAMILY OF ISWAP FINANCE CHIEF SURRENDERS, RECOVER LOGISTICS ITEMS Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have continued to sustain pressure on  terrorists through series of intelligence-led operations that resulted in the arrest of suspected terrorist collaborators, the surrender of the family members of a senior ISWAP commander, and the recovery of terrorist logistics items. In one of the operations conducted on 27 July 2026, troops of 5 Brigade arrested six ISWAP collaborators in Damasak, Borno State. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly generating funds for the terrorist group through the procurement and sale of cattle at designated markets in Gubio, Damasak and Ajuwango. Items recovered from the suspects included one Volkswagen Golf vehicle, vehicle keys, four mobile phones of different brands, cow meat and the sum of ₦317,950.00.  Petrol Price Drop Driving Down Cooking Gas Costs — IPMAN


The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria says the recent decline in petrol prices has triggered a drop in cooking gas prices across the country.


A 12.5kg refill now sells for around N16,250 in Abuja—down from N17,500—while Lagos residents pay as low as N13,750, compared to over N17,000 in late 2024. IPMAN attributes the trend to reduced demand for LPG as petrol-powered alternatives become more affordable, noting further drops may follow based on market dynamics.
