  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  POLITICAL PARTY PRIMARIES AHEAD OF 2025 GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION IN ANAMBRA: CP ORUTUGU ADMONISHES OFFICERS TO BE APOLITICAL AND URGES CANDIDATES TO PLAY BY THE RULE


The Commissioner of Police Anambra State *CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc MNIPS PhD*, during interaction with the strategy Officers of the Command today 4th April 2025 noted the commencement of Political activities in the State. This follows the ongoing preparations for Political parties primaries where candidates that will be their flag bearers ahead of the State Gubernatorial election are selected. The CP admonished the Officers deployed to provide security services in this regard to be professional, apolitical and neutral. He also urged the candidates to adhere to the rules by ensuring a peaceful and credible electoral process.


To maintain law and order, the Command has deployed personnel strategically and engaged with stakeholders to prevent potential conflicts. This proactive approach will help to build confidence and trust among the electorates and ensure a smooth voting process. The Security teams are expected to carry out security patrols, surveillance, traffic control and patrols in conjunction with sister security agencies.


The *CP* called on members of the public to coordinate themselves and cooperate with the police and other security agencies in the course of discharging their constitutional responsibilities.
