 TROOPS APPREHEND SUSPECTED TERRORIST COLLABORATORS, FAMILY OF ISWAP FINANCE CHIEF SURRENDERS, RECOVER LOGISTICS ITEMS Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have continued to sustain pressure on  terrorists through series of intelligence-led operations that resulted in the arrest of suspected terrorist collaborators, the surrender of the family members of a senior ISWAP commander, and the recovery of terrorist logistics items. In one of the operations conducted on 27 July 2026, troops of 5 Brigade arrested six ISWAP collaborators in Damasak, Borno State. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly generating funds for the terrorist group through the procurement and sale of cattle at designated markets in Gubio, Damasak and Ajuwango. Items recovered from the suspects included one Volkswagen Golf vehicle, vehicle keys, four mobile phones of different brands, cow meat and the sum of ₦317,950.00.  Three Business Robbery Suspects Arrested in Mahwelereng


Mahwelereng police have arrested three suspects shortly after two business robberies were carried out on the morning of Wednesday, 23 April 2025.


The suspects allegedly robbed a shop in Ga-Rauwele and a supermarket in Sekuruwe, using imitation firearms to steal cellphones, cigarettes, groceries, and cash.


Acting swiftly, the Mahwelereng Visible Policing Unit tracked down the suspects' getaway vehicle, a white Chevrolet sedan, which crashed during a police chase on the N11 road. All three suspects were arrested on the scene.


Stolen goods and two pellet guns were recovered from the vehicle. The suspects, currently under hospital care due to crash injuries, will appear in court soon. Investigations are ongoing.
