Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. UPDATE: THE BROWNSBURG INDIANA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER WHO MADE A CHILD EAT HIS OWN VOMIT IS FINALLY SENTENCED.(PHOTO).

Update: The Brownsburg Indiana Elementary school teacher who made a child eat his own vomit is finally sentenced.

We first covered this shocking incident shortly after it was reported back in 2023. At that time Sara Seymour along with several other employees at Brown Elementry were either directly involved or complicit in the incident.

In the shocking incident that was captured on video, a 7-year-old child is seen gagging while eating food. You can see Seymour directing the child to sit back down. Seymour then tells the child if he vomits she will "make him eat it".

After sitting back down Julie Taylor (life skills teacher) is seen placing a tray in front of the child. The child then vomits onto the tray. At this point, Debra Kanipe (life skills instructional aid) gives the child a spoon. The child was then forced to eat some of his own vomit while Seymour and Kanipe stood on either side of him. After forcing the child to eat a portion, Seymour then made the child clean up the remainder of the vomit.

At the time all teachers involved being Sara Seymour, Debra Kanipe, Julie Taylor, Megan King and Kristin Mitchell were charged with various offenses ranging from failure to report and neglect of a dependent. Everyone involved either resigned or was fired from their positions at Brown Elementry School.

Now, over a year later, Sara Seymour (the main antagonist) has been sentenced to a year in jail after pleading guilty to neglect of a dependent. As a result of her guilty plea, prosecutors dropped the additional charge of failure to report. However, due to receiving credit for time served and the judge suspending the rest of the sentence to only probation rather than jail time, Seymour will not spend any additional time in jail.

Meghan King (behavioral technician) pleaded guilty to one count of failure to report. She was sentenced to 180 days of probation.

Julie Taylor (life skills instructor) pleaded guilty to failure to report. She was sentenced to a 90-day prison sentence. The prison sentence was suspended and she received 90 days probation.

Kristen Mitchell (life skills teacher) pleaded guilty to failure to report. She was ordered to pay $1 fine and $189 towards court costs. She received no jail time or probation.

The case against Debra Kanipe is pending. She is charged with neglect of a dependent and she has a jury trial scheduled for June.

We will update.
