A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Ibrahim Amos, who was abducted Thursday afternoon at Kurmin Risga, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has regained his freedom.
According to Daily Trust, Fr. Amos, who served at St. Gerald Quasi Parish, was said to have returned home unharmed on Friday at about 2:00pm.
The announcement of his release was contained in a statement signed by Rev. Fr. Dr. Jacob Shanet, who expressed gratitude to God and thanked members of the public for their prayers and support throughout the difficult period.
Fr. Shanet also commended the efforts of the local vigilante group, the police, and the Department of State Services (DSS) for their role during the period of uncertainty.
