 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. WALTON, KENTUCKY- 2 ELDERLY WOMEN LOSE THEIR LIVES AND ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL IS CRITICALLY INJURED IN A CRASH THAT CAUSED A DUMP TRUCK TO CRASH THROUGH RESTAURANT. (PHOTO).

 Walton, Kentucky- 2 elderly women lose their lives and another individual is critically injured in a crash that caused a dump truck to crash through restaurant. 


While diners were enjoying a meal at Boondocks Pub on Tuesday, April 8th, a tragic incident occurred shattering the peaceful scene. At around 4:30 p.m. an SUV pulled out in front of a fully loaded dump truck. The driver of the dump truck attempted to brake and steer clear of the SUV but they were not able to avoid a collision.


The SUV was struck by the dump truck and the impact caused the SUV to cross the southbound lane where it struck a guardrail and flipped before coming to rest on its top. Sadly the crash took the lives of 91-year-old Eva Mulberry and 89-year-old Betty Holland. A 66-year-old woman who was in the SUV was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.


As a result of attempting to avoid the collision the dumptruck went of the roadway and into the parking lot of Boondocks restaurant. The dumptruck then collided with four parked cars before ultimately crashing through the front of the establishment. No one inside of the restaurant was injured as a result of the crash.
