Catholic Priests Not Like ‘Fake Bishops’, Atiku Blasts Presidency’s Attack On Onaiyekan Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress ADC, Atiku Abubakar, has condemned the Presidency’s attack on the Catholic Church and John Cardinal Onaiyekan, accusing the President Bola Tinubu administration of growing intolerant of dissent and uncomfortable truths. In a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu on Sunday, Atiku said the Presidency chose intimidation and political attacks instead of reflecting on the substance of the cleric’s message. Catholic bishops had recently had an engagement with the president, where the latter defended his record and the independence of the electoral umpire. However, the cardinal in a television interview on Friday said the Catholic bishops told the president that the country is bleeding and the economy is not helping poor citizens.  WOMAN ( 31 ) ARRESTED FOR STABBING HER EX - BOYFRIEND TO DEATH IN GROBLERSDAL 



GROBLERSDAL: A 31 year old woman is facing murder charges after suspected of fatally stabbing her alleged former boyfriend in Groblersdal, Sekhukhune District on Saturday, 19 April at about 17h30. 


The police were alerted and on their arrival at the scene found the deceased laying at the veranda and also found the deceased ex-girlfriend  


It is further alleged that the deceased arrived and found the suspect who was with a friend. 


An argument arose between the woman and the victim and in the ensuing heated argument the man was stabbed with a sharp object allegedly by the ex girlfriend. 


The man attempted to flee the scene after being stabbed but he fell on the veranda and was certified dead by the Emergency Medical Services personnel . 


The  former girlfriend of the deceased was arrested on the scene. 


The suspect who is facing murder charge will appear before the local Magistrate's Court soon.
