 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. A SWEET 13-YEAR-OLD OHIO BOY LOST HIS LIFE AFTER FALLING FROM A FLOAT DURING A MEMORIAL DAY PARADE.(PHOTO).

 A sweet 13-year-old Ohio boy lost his life after falling from a float during a Memorial Day parade.


This tragedy unfolded at 11:23 a.m. in Green, Ohio during the town's memorial day parade. The unidentified teen was riding on a trailer that was being used as a float. 


As the float made its way down the street, the teen slipped and fell from the front of the trailer. Sadly, upon falling from the trailer, the teen was struck by the trailer's tires. 


The juvenile sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Akron City Hospital where medical staff desperately attempted to save his life. Unfortunately, despite all of their efforts, the young boy succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.


The young boy was a student in the North Canton City School District who released the following statement- "There is no greater tragedy than the death of a young person, and we offer our sincere condolences and support for the family." The school is offering counselors for any student affected by this tragic incident.
