The Idemili North LGA Enforcement team has been trained to do their Digital IGR revenue enforcement with civility and decorum.

The Enforcement Team Received Digital Training at the Secretariat Ogidi on how to discover commercial vehicles evading local government park tolls on daily basis.

According to the project consultant with OASIS Management,Mr Nonso Ojukwu, professionally we trained them on how to go about their duties. There is a new digital way whereby we have an application in your device (phone) that we use to input plate numbers of commercial vehicles for validation purposes inside the motor/keke parks.

"You can input the vehicle plate number to capture and know if an asset is owing or not without even coming close to the disturb the driver or asset owner.

"Your work is seamless, in a digital way. Everything about IGR in Idemili North LGA is digital including E- ticketing, enumeration and enforcement. No cash payments both concerning tickets or penalty charges for defaulters. Our Enumeration officers are well equipped with their customized POS for digital collection. Remember we do not collect cash from anyone.

Moreover, the INLGA Enforcement Team Commander, Hon. Onyedika Abanobi after eulogizing the digital and Amiable Mayor of Idemili North, Hon Stanley Nkwoka (Ochendo Idemili) on his achievements which include eradicating touts, toutism and cash collection of revenue thanked him for the level of training they were receiving from a professional firm like OASIS Management.

Abanobi assured that his men will employ civility and firmness as they commence LG park toll enforcement from commercial drivers who may decide to evade payment of daily revenue, adding that they are not interested in intimidating anyone.

"Although there will be penalty for defaulters but we have been told not to collect cash but to ensure that as from 12 noon daily no commercial vehicle leaves the park without having paid his park LG daily toll. In the case where we discover defaulters, our duty is to direct them where they will pay both their daily toll and penalty fine digitally without molestation or violence.

"I want to use this medium to urge every commercial Keke, Keke bus or pick up, buses, trucks of different categories to ensure they are captured, given ASIN number which they will use for their daily payment of their vehicle park tolls to avoid embarrassment or disrupting their business which may result to impounding their vehicle.

"You can see for yourself that government both at the State and LGA level are using our IGR to provide democracy dividends, security, good roads, health care and so on. There is no reason anyone should avoid tax payment. It is our civic responsibility, government needs that your little contribution to continue Socio-Economic and infrastructural development," he said.
