 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. MIKE SUMLER ' KOOL & THE GANG MEMBER PASSED AWAY AT THE AGE OF 71.(PHOTO).

 The music world has lost a true legend. Michael "Chicago Mike" Sumler, longtime member of Kool & The Gang, died at 71 following a car crash in Georgia's Cobb County over Memorial Day weekend. The beloved performer had just finished a concert at Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre as part of the "Evening of Funk" show before the tragic accident occurred just before midnight on Saturday, May 24. Known as the group's energetic "hype man," Michael joined Kool & The Gang in 1985 and brought his Chicago charm to the stage for nearly four decades. 


Colleagues remember him as "always jovial, always kind" and someone who "always wanted to see other people succeed." His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched with his music and kindness.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
